The Christianville Tribune
November 20, 2009-Newsletter # 14
Today, November 20 was Steven Day, the final day of Christian’s Best Friends Festival. Steven Day honors My Best Friend, Steven Vandeneykel. On Steven Day, the last event of the festival before the closing of the festival doors is The Tigger Parade. You see, Steven really likes Tigger; So, I made a parade for Tigger and him. The parade had a lot of creative floats like one about a balloon Tigger hanging over Friends St., Tigger himself, and a couple of Steven’s Friends including Carly Patterson. And, people were surprised to see her, in fact Jonathon from Syracuse, NY said “Wow! Carly Paterson is here! I haven’t seen her since the Olympics in Athens” and Carly herself told everyone at the festival. “It’s great to be in Christianville, it’s such a wonderful city to visit and I am honored to be here”. After parade was over, they closed the festival doors on Friends St. and that was the end of the 5th Annual Christian’s Best Friends Festival. After the festival was over, the rest of the day was a Metro-Wide holiday.
Thank You for tuning in for my reporting on the 5th Annual Christian’s Best Friends Festival. I can’t wait to report on it in 2010!
